When building our camper, I was looking for a practical solution for a bench that could be pulled out but also folded up. It also needed to offer plenty of storage space (we only have a small rear garage), including for the heater. It needs to be accessed from above, hence the need to open it up.
Long story short: I found nothing and drew up a construction plan from 20 blogs, 12 YouTube videos and all the forums I could find.

Extendable+foldable: plus 41.5cm depth
